Note: Mining for #SolidarityWithPakArmy and #LoveISI stopped on April 27, 2014 at 2pm

Twitter hashtags last week mostly focused on targeting Geo for the statements the channel ran about the military and the chief of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency after the attack on Hamid Mir.

After a short run of the #BanGeo, #ShutUpGeo and #BoycottGeo hashtags, a new one expressing outright support for the military came up.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet #SolidarityWithPakArmy.

Over 12,000 tweets and retweets were mined. The top tweeter was @jeenasirjee with over 200 tweets, followed by @SiddiqueJaan (39 tweets).

Who is @jeenasirjee? Well, the user doesn’t have a bio. The profile picture in use right now is a Tahirul Qadri protest march poster.

Their first tweet was sent out on December 11, 2013:

The @jeenasirjee account sent out two tweets with the exact same text on April 25, 2014 at 6:06am (27 retweets) and 6:13am (25 retweets):

That is a total of 52 retweets since both tweets had the same text.

Two tweets had 31 retweets each:

The official Pakistan Awami Tehreek account (@PATofficialPK) sent out only 12 tweets with the #SolidarityWithPakArmy hashtag and got over 2,450 retweets. And for those of you who didn’t know, PAT is led by Tahirul Qadri.

Here is the tweet with the highest number of retweets:

The runner-up was @jeenasirjee with 787 retweets.

Other hashtags used with this trend:

@PATofficialPK and @AnjumKiani were mentioned in 14 and 11 tweets.

@AnjumKiani was also very active with the #BanGeo (26 tweets) #ShutUpGeo (169 tweets) hashtags.

With #SolidarityWithPakArmy, @AnjumKiani sent out 23 tweets and got 360 retweets. The account used #BanGeo in 6 tweets and #HamidMir in 3.

Here are @AnjumKiani’s top three tweets in order of most retweeted:

Bonus – #LoveISI

I saw this hashtag used in a couple of tweets so I figured I’ll do a short roundup for this as well. Someone tried to get this going (much like the posters in Islamabad) but couldn’t get too far.

Here is a tweet which shows a poster up in Islamabad

A total of 46 retweets were sent out with the #LoveISI hashtag with 90 retweets.

The top tweeters were:

User Total tweets
@raisimmani 6
@IkraRashidButt 4
@ProuddPakistani 2
@Sab_PK 2

The highest number of retweets went to a tweet from @NewKHB (using the name ‘#BanGeo #Khushab’):

And this ridiculous tweet by a pro-MQM account just had to be shared:
