I spent eleven years inside Pakistan's biggest newsrooms, leading election coverage, training reporters, dragging digital journalism forward by the collar. Then I defected to tech: first heading brand and comms in cybersecurity, where I also co-founded a game-based security awareness product from the inside and learned how the whole machine works - product, development, sales, all of it. Then a venture builder, running content across a portfolio of startups and briefly the brand and comms team too.
Turns out I couldn't stay away. Now I'm back where I started, helping newsrooms around the world figure out what's broken and rebuild it. The tooling, the workflows, the AI that's either going to save journalism or finish it off. I'm betting on save.
Off the clock Extreme metal, horror literature, and a vinyl collection that has comprehensively defeated my shelving.
Chronicling extreme metal in Pakistan - the bands, scenes and stories the mainstream press left off the page.
